Speech Specifics:
- Length: Minimum 3 minutes, maximum 5 minutes.
- Be organized and entertaining (within reason). Minimum of 3 Sources. No Wikipedia!
- Explain the significance of your speech topic (Why is this something we would look at?)
- What was the effect/outcome of your speech topic (did this change the sport or the Olympics?)
- Include who, what, when, where, why in your speech.
- Minimum 5 slides in a power point that will enhance your speech not detract from it. Use bullets in your own words, be able to explain visuals. A visual all by itself will need explanation.
Library Day 1 requirements:
- Save in your folder on the computer at school. You may want to email it to yourself. Save early and often.
- Show me at least one of your power point slides. DO NOT wait until the last 5 minutes.
- Hand in an explanation of the significance of your speech topic.
- Hand in an explanation of the effect/outcome of your speech topic
Library Day 2 requirements:
- Hand in to me your "who, what, when, where, why."
- List these 5 words on a full piece of paper and then write your responses to them.
- Show me 4 other slides (5 total) for your power point. Again, don't wait until the last minute.
Day of Speeches:
- Turn in outline of speech and bibliography with no less than 3 sources cited correctly
- NO Wikipedia is to be used on this project.
- You may use 3 x 5 note cards during speech or "talk" from your bulleted power point. Do NOT read your information either from the note cards or from the screen.
