The Sprague Theater Production is already in full gear and the fall production of Curious Savage opens Homecoming week. Come one and all for this family friendly show that is heartwarming and fun. Set in 1953 John Patrick’s story of family intrigue begins when Mrs. Ethel P. Savage crosses a line and her step children proceed to have her committed. The Savage children have noticed strange behavior of their step-mother escalating rapidly since their father's death. Wandering around town with a teddy bear, giving money to foolish people for ridiculous things, and worst yet, financially backing shows and then starring in them? So they do the prudent thing and have her committed to the "Cloisters", a mental institution, in hopes of having her straightened out. But when ten million dollars suddenly goes missing, the Savages become unhinged! Armed with a wicked wit and her unlikely accomplices, Mrs. Savage fights not only to keep her money from the devious Savage children, but to win her freedom as well! Mayhem ensues, and the real character of all involved is exposed.
