Oly Lounge History
The Oly Lounge originated as a coffee and cookie shop in the cafeteria, but soon became a hit with students and staff and needed room to develop. The shop needed space that could accommodate both a fun atmosphere and a professional environment to food and drinks. Room 160 soon became the new address for The Oly Lounge.
In the fall of 2006, with the efforts of Arash Afshar, Keri Sime, Stefanie Schmidt, Katie Loney, Allie Gregg, and Ally Wilder, Room 160 changed from a storage room to a store. Since then, several students have helped with the growth and expansion of the O-Lounge. Store managers have included Richard Reynolds, Jenny Jensen, Jenna Callaway, Carrie Walsh, Jai Harke, Whitney Parkin, Emily Oslie, Sarah McComish, Sarah James, and our present managers Amber Newman and Emma Dow. The Oly Lounge has quickly become the hot spot for students and staff.
The Oly Lounge is run by advanced marketing students who apply for the position the previous year.
