Introduction:
Most everyone has been on a vacation that they have greatly enjoyed. In this activity you will be writing a one page paper about your favorite vacation. Below you will find the specific details I want you to include in the paper.
If you don't have a vacation you would consider your favorite then write about what your favorite vacation would be like.
Procedure:
Part 1
Open a new Word document and do the following:
- Save as: last first favorite vacation.doc
- On the top toolbar, go to <File><Page Setup>
- Change left and right margins to 1"
Write the story about your favorite vacation. In the process I want you to take the who, what, when, where, why approach to writing this paper. Let me be more specific...
- WHO went on this vacation?
- WHAT did you do while you were there?
- WHEN did you go and for how long?
- WHERE did you go?
- WHY was it your favorite vacation?
Please write this in story form. Make sure the questions get answered as you write the story. Make the story interesting by providing interesting details about the trip. Describe funny situations, scary moments or difficulties you may have encountered.
Part 2
Add the following to your story:
- On the top toolbar go to <Insert> <Picture> <Wordart>
- Insert Wordart into your document. Your name, period, title should be the items in Wordart.
- Find an image on the Internet that represents or describes your vacation.
- If your vacation was to a specific town or resort you may be able to find an image that shows exactly where you went.
- Make sure you format the picture in some way that makes sense.
- Formatting the image is always required when you copy or insert into Word.
