Make an "Ad" Activity

Introduction:

The purpose of this activity is to learn how to make and use bookmarks and hyperlinks in Microsoft Word.

Procedure:

Step 1 Create the document and add the title "Ad Activity"

Step 2 Make a simple table

Step 3 Put in the links Insert text as shown.

The Descriptions can be left blank for now.

Page Description
Pg 2 "Catchy" Text

Pg 5 ditto
Pg 6 ditto

***Note 1- Page 1 is the home page and does not require a link in the menu***

***Note 2- Pg 2, 3 etc will be replaced with meaningful text in the finished product***

Step 4 Inserting page breaks

Page breaks are used to force new pages where you want them. Adding or editing text on one page doesnt't affect others! Follow these instructions:

Step 5 Creating a Bookmark

You should have 6 pages now, a home page with the menu table and 5 additional pages.

Create a bookmark:

Step 6 Bookmark each page

Scroll to page 3 and follow the directions above to create bookmarks on each page

You should have a bookmark at the top of each page (pages 2-6)

Step 7 Making a hyperlink to your bookmark

Go back to your table on your home page and link 1. Now you can make a link to bookmark 1.

Step 8 Making your advertisement

Now you have blank pages to create your ad
