Addressing school repairs and construction
Salem-Keizer construction bond on November ballot
Due to several years of restricted school budgets, Salem-Keizer had to defer major repairs to schools in order to maintain funding for core instructional programs.
School buildings in fundamental disrepair and overcrowding make it difficult for children to get the most they can in a learning environment.
The proposed school bond would help to address basic and structural school building needs, like electricity, plumbing, heating and cooling, before it is substantially more expensive to fix them.
