Ms. Carolyn Hensley-Johnson is one of Sprague's Assistant Principals. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. She then worked as a microbiologist in the Texas Medical Center in Houston for several years before moving to Oregon. Her Masters in Teaching is from Lewis and Clark College in Portland. She taught in the Beaverton School District for 9 years. Ms. Hensley-Johnson taught courses such as General Science, Biology, AP Biology, Science Research, and Botany and was chosen as the Outstanding Biology Teacher in Oregon in 1996. Her administrative work was also completed at Lewis and Clark College. Before coming to Sprague, she served as Assistant Principal at Yamhill-Carlton High School for 5 years and as Principal of Yamhill Grade School for 1 year. In Ms. Hensley-Johnson's spare time, she enjoys quilting, reading, baking, and traveling.
