If your car becomes disabled, turn on the flashers and stay with the vehicle. If your car should become disabled for any reason or skid off a slippery roadway, turn on your flashers, and stay with the vehicle, running your engine and heater for short intervals with the windows cracked slightly to avoid carbon monoxide buildup.
