Family Practice and Internal Madicine
The Nursing Department consists of RN's, LPN's and MA's who work together with the physicians to provide medical care to our patients. Each of our providers has a consistent nursing staff assigned to them. LPN's and MA's work directly with our physicians to assist in providing timely and appropriate medical care to our patients. This involves readying patients for their appointments, assisting physicians with procedures, and responding to incoming and outgoing messages between patients and physicians and performing tasks that are within the scope of their skills. RN's primarily serve as triage nurses, helping patients to define actual or potential health problems and facilitating initiation of appropriate care. This can be done by phone or by evaluating patients who come in without appointments. They also assist with and perform certain procedures.
