Laboratory Services
The Lab Department consists of the Lab/X-Ray Receptionists and the actual lab personnel. The Lab/X-Ray receptionists handle patient scheduling of lab studies, x-rays and mammograms as well as reminding patients of their appointments. They are responsible for transmitting the lab and x-ray related billing to the Patient Accounts department . Routine recalls for follow up Mammography tests are also generated from within the lab department. The lab staff includes Med Techs and Phlebotomists. The Med Techs do the actual testing of bodily fluids using various machines and methods. The Phlebotomists draw blood and assist patients with obtaining urine samples. They also do EKG's, Holter and Event Monitors.
