Rx Refill Department
The staff members who work in this department process medication refills for clinic patients by electronically submitting or faxing the approved refill requests to the pharmacy. Refills are processed based on clinical protocols which have been approved by the providers. As part of the process of refilling prescription requests, the staff reviews the patient´s record to ensure accuracy of the medication history and ensures adherence to providers´ requests for certain patients to make follow up appointments .
