The secret to a long life is proper maintenance. We recommend 3 month/3,000 mile oil change intervals regardless of the manufacturers recommendations. Scheduled maintenance (30,000, 60,000 mile services, etc.) should be performed on time and continued throughout the life of the vehicle. Given the type of transmission (no filter), we do recommend more frequent automatic transmission fluid changes (15,000miles) to increase the life of the transmission. We commonly have vehicles with over 250,000 miles in our shop still going strong, there are a few that have exceeded 400,000 miles!
